  • Hamilton CapTel Introduces “Noah Module” For FREE Captioned Telephones
    9 Sep , 2016

At the 65th Annual IHS Convention & Expo, held September 8-10 in Chicago,Hamilton® CapTel® is unveiling the new Hamilton CapTel Noah Module – software designed for audiologists, making it easier for them to provide captioned telephones at No COST to their patients with hearing loss.

According to the company, the Hamilton CapTel phone is the most advanced captioned telephone on the market today for people who have difficulty hearing over the phone. Hamilton CapTel is a service of Hamilton Relay, a division of Hamilton Telecommunications, a diversified communications and technology services provider based in Aurora, Neb.

According to the Hearing Instrument Manufacturers’ Software Association (HIMSA), more than 90% of audiology practices in the US use the Noah System 4 or compatible business system. Traditionally, audiologists completed paper forms to certify their patients who were eligible to receive a no-cost Hamilton CapTel phone. The new Noah module significantly streamlines the ordering process by automating these necessary forms. Hamilton CapTel is currently the only captioned telephone provider with a Noah 4 module certified by HIMSA, the supplier and administrator of the Noah Office Management system.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for audiologists to procure this no-cost solution for their patients with hearing loss,” said Dave Blanchard, national sales and marketing program manager, Hamilton CapTel. “We developed our certified Noah software module to allow them to go paperless and easily work within the system they use every day to manage patient information. It takes as little as 30 seconds to complete these order forms in Noah.”

    How it Works:

    • Audiologists can download the free Hamilton CapTel Noah module at HamiltonCapTel.com/noah and install it
    • Patient record information within the Noah 4 system automatically populates Hamilton CapTel order forms
    • Secure, encrypted online ordering eliminates having to scan hand-written forms and submit via fax or email, and ensures FCC compliance and the safety of patient record data

The Hearing Instrument Manufacturers’ Software Association (HIMSA) was founded in 1993 with the objective of developing, marketing and supporting Noah – one standard for integrated hearing care software. Today, more than 130 companies support the Noah software standard. The largest portion of these companies are hearing instrument manufacturers, representing a market share of approximately 90%.
