Gallaudet University Lab, Working on ASL App Profiled in “Washington Post”.

Researchers from Gallaudet University—a private university for the deaf and hard-of-hearing in Washington, D.C.—are working on an app that helps deaf children learn American Sign Language (ASL), according to a recent article in the Washington Post.

The Motion Light Lab (part of a Science of Learning Center)
which was profiled in the article, has worked on several visually-based projects for deaf children, including bilingual storybook apps that feature brightly illustrated characters and videos that pair words with a video of the ASL translation.
